Based: Primarily at our Scunthorpe facility

Salary: £ competitive, dependant on (relevant) experience.

Payment Period: Monthly

Hours per week: 39

Working Pattern: 08:30 – 17:15, Monday – Friday, core hours.

Employment Status: Permanent, Full time.

JOB DESCRIPTION

This role offers an opportunity that would suit either a Technical Manager already established within the flexible packaging industry and seeking a new challenge or a candidate that has plastics experience at Assistant / Deputy level and is now seeking a more responsible role to develop their career.

They have to be a highly organised person with a strong character able to communicate effectively at all levels of the business.

• Responsible directly to Group Technical Director.

As the Group Technical Coordinator/Manager your core responsibilities will include:

• This role exists to manage the procedures and processes for controlling the creation of trials, developments and R&D projects.
• Management of R&D / Development projects
• Maintain technical database and paperwork (technical trials)
• Monitor group product test data.
• Monitor and maintain group blend nomenclature
• Produce, monitor and maintain internal and external
• Material specifications.
• Packaging specifications
• Ensure raw materials and product MSDS and REACH Legislation is maintained.
• Support group material/product legislation and statement requirements.
• To work closely with Quality Manager.
• Assistance in Group Technical Projects / R&D.
• Good computer skills, especially Microsoft Office.
• A meticulous and detailed approach essential.
• Previous experience in a similar role would be beneficial.
• Based at Scunthorpe facility.
• Salary is relative to experience; however candidates should indicate their salary expectations in their application.
