Skymark Packaging International has grown to become one of the leading independent manufacturers of flexible packaging suppliers in the UK. We are looking for an additional full time Internal Sales Development Executive to join our team in Scunthorpe.


The ideal candidate will be skilled at identifying and creating opportunity, results driven and motivated to build our sales pipeline.  They should be skilled in managing a customer call to drive the desired outcomes, with the ability to identify our customers’ needs and to appropriately apply knowledge of our products.  The Internal Sales Development Executive is key in managing and overseeing the process from lead generation, through to opportunity identification whilst maintaining excellent customer service.


Ideally you will have more than 2 years’ experience in this area or similar and hold a full UK Drivers Licence, as travel to our Ilkeston site may be required, particularly during your training period.  Languages such as French, Italian or Spanish would also be desirable but not essential.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Internal Sales Development Executive will include (but are not limited to):

       To meet KPI’s as set for your role including, but not limited to:-

       Make sales calls to prospective customers, to introduce the company and our bespoke and high end services.

       Make sales calls to existing customers to ensure customer satisfaction and to investigate / identify further business opportunities.

       Being the initial point of contact for customers interacting with the Company for the first time.

       Acting as an integral member of the Sales Team to facilitate business growth

       To attend industry specific events, representing the company and generating leads.

       Provide sales data to the internal sales team and other personnel as required

       Maintain and manage several current customer accounts, in conjunction with Sales Managers.

       Put your internal and external customers at the heart of everything you do and deliver an exceptional, commercial service proposition, every day.

       Process the first and last part of any customer complaints

       You will be responsible for providing high quality service to our customers and identifying new sales opportunities


To apply for this role, you need to genuinely want constant contact with customers and have excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong IT and administration skills are essential as you will be required to work effectively on specific systems to take and process orders. You will need to be highly organised and able to work in a fast-paced environment, working to deadlines.
